Professional BACKGROUND
Hello, my name is Dwayne. Welcome to my corner of the digital world!
I began my working life as a plumber, employed on construction sites and private residences to install piping, taps, hot water systems, roofing, guttering and drainage.
The next stage of my professional journey was working as a draftsperson. I honed my technical skills while producing mechanical, structural, civil and electrical engineering drawings for several prominent drafting organizations. Additionally, when travelling aboard my drafting experience extended to consulting for engineering firms. I worked both on-site and in central offices gaining valuable insights into diverse project environments.
I then transitioned into work as an Industrial Technology Teacher. With a passion for supporting future professionals, I focused on practical skill development and a culture of safety. For over 16 years in the education sector, I taught others how to safely use hand tools, power tools and machinery. I specialized in teaching graphics, electronics, design, construction and engineering.
I now apply the expertise gained in these professions at InTheToolbox.com, to support professional and DIY tool users.
